18 months already!

Cannen is 18 months old already! I can't believe it. He is such a joy to have in our family! We love him so much :) Things he is doing: running, he can climb onto the kitchen chairs and onto the beds, he is learning parts of the body (eyes, nose, ear), he talks quite a bit, he loves food and is not a picky eater at all, he loves our dog to pieces!!

Things he says: mama, daddy, Dupe (for duke), sissy, bubba (what he calls Cameron), some, cereal (pronounced ceral), Papi (our dog), puppy, shoes, me, bye, hi, no no no, joe, bumpa (for grandpa), appy (for apple), owie, choo choo, ball, lello (for elmo), bootball (football), and shoop (shoot -- because the older boys are always playing basketball), sit, uh-oh, baby, santa, cheese, .....I think that's it!

Stats: Height - 32.5 inches, Weight 25 # 9 oz

He is so funny and makes us all laugh! He is sure to put a smile on anybody's face!!

January happenings!!

My niece turned five and she decided to have a Halloween party. It was so fun, we all dressed up and had a great time! The kids bobbed for apples. It was something different and fun for January :) Cannen absolutely loved the bobbing for apples part....he tried numerous times to get in the bucket!! Duke dressed up as a football player, and Sophia was a lala loopsy doll!

The whole gang!

All the girls who dressed up! A princess, lady gaga, Marilyn Monroe, Flo from Progressive, someone with a wig, Strawberry Shortcake, a Chinese lady, Jane Fonda!!

Joe turned 31 this year! He loves ice cream cake from Dairy Queen so I surprised him with that! I also got him a Charles Woodson canvas print to go in the basement...it was very exciting to watch him open it!

We made some great memories after Christmas! Grandpa Mark decided to get the four wheeler out and pull the kids!! They had so much fun. Mark's dad, grandpa Jimmy, use to drive the kids around on the four wheeler, so it was nice to keep the tradition going!!

Christmas 2011

Christmas was so fun this year! The kids were very excited, as were we to see them on Christmas morning :) Some of the things they wanted this year included: Cameron wanted dre beats (a new style of head phones), Duke wanted a phantom football helmet and new shoes, Sophia wanted the barbie camper, and Cannen would be happy with anything, although he is all about trains! Well, Christmas morning we woke up did Christmas at our house, then we headed up north to Iron River to spend the rest of the day with Joe's family. We had a great dinner at Grandma Sally's and then went to Joe's parents to end the night! It was such a fun day :) The day didn't end exactly as I would have hoped, but it could have been worse. Cannen took a tumble down grandma and grandpa's basement steps. It was the most scariest and helpless thing I have ever witnessed in all my life. They say kids are resilient and that proved to be true that night. He was very shaken up but overall he was fine. It was definitely something I don't think any of us will forget.

Duke and his helmet...he was pretty excited

Two very happy boys with their new phantom blankets made by Grandma Sally

Cannen wearing his new hat from Grandma Gayle and Grandpa Mark

Our princess...all sparkly and full of smiles

Grandma and Grandpa with the kids and the gift we made for them!

Cameron must have been a good boy...he got his headphones he wanted

Sophia was super excited when she opened up her barbie camper!

Duke and his reezig's!!! This definitely put a smile on his face!

Santa thought Cannen could use a train table! He LOVED it :)

The day was so busy and full of excitement I didn't get a picture of the kids all together! It was a very good day though!!!
