Another State Championship

We LOVE our Phantoms!!! We were fortunate enough to be a part of another great season of football! We tried to make it to as many games as we could and had a great time at all of them! The Phantoms went undefeated again this year and made it to Camp Randall for the third strait time!! The first year they came up short. Last year they won their first State Championship. And this year they did it again! It was such a great game :) My father in law has come down every year and drives us all to the game! We leave bright and early and it has been so fun to be able to do this with him! He is a very special person to me and my kids!!!

Grandpa and Duke and Sophia

Cameron and his friends...hard to see him but it was the best picture I could get of him!

Cannen was such a trooper! He slept almost the whole game!

Duke and Jay Tollefson! One of Duke's favorite players this year :)
Jay was voted player of the state this year!

Duke's other favorite player, Jordan Forrest! He loves this guy! Jordan was so good with Duke!

Jordan pulled Duke right out of the stands after the game for a picture!!

Final Score 39 to 24!

After the game there was a celebration at the football field and here are a few things that I captured!

Joe and Sam Melberg! This player says Joe is the best coach he has every had :)

Last year we bought a football and had the team sign it! So we felt it would only be right to do it again this year! Here is Sam signing the ball for Duke!

Jay signing the ball for Duke!

My family :)

Cameron and his buddies...Marcus and Tyler!

Growing up too fast

My baby is growing up too fast. We made 11/11/11 memorable by getting Cannen's first hair cut. It was needed, but it made for a sad day! It was like he grew up over night. He was only suppose to get a trim but he was moving so much so that trim turned into a full hair cut. All his curls were cut off. And anyone who knows me knows how much I love curls on baby's! It was hard to get used to his new hair cut, but I did and now I love how it looks!

This was his first bath without his bath seat! He loved it :)

So much actually that one day I gave him a bath and after he was dressed he went back in the bathroom and hopped in again...clothes and all!!

October Fun

October was such a fun month! We had extremely nice weather! I don't mind the nice weather but it was too nice....like a few days were in the 80's. I just like the fall temperatures that go with the beautiful changing colors! I know if a few weeks I will kick myself for even wishing that! We went to the pumpkin patch on a great day and the kids had so much fun picking their pumpkins! Too bad the weather couldn't have stuck around for trick or treating! It was so cold that night, but the kids still had a great time! Cannen ended up getting sick the next day so that was unfortunate. Cameron got sick shortly after but he didn't even go trick or treating so I am not sure if the cold was the cause of the sickness! I can't believe October is over and Thanksgiving is around the corner! Time sure goes too fast!

He didn't want his picture taken I guess!

Duke is obsessed with our high school football team! This year he decided to be the quarterback of our team, Jay Tollefsean!

Our Family :)

These three boys are less than a year apart and we all live right next to each other!

A much needed vacation

In July I took a much needed vacation with three of my kids! We went to Arizona to visit my dad and my grandparents! We were lucky enough to meet up with my aunts and my cousins also! I was also able to meet up with a friend I haven't seen in over 17 years! That was very exciting! We had such a great time with our family! Joe had to work and Cameron was terrified to fly so I decided to take the three little ones and go! It was hard to leave Joe and Cameron behind but I felt like I needed to go see my family and go back to where I grew up. The last time I was there was 7 years ago and that was just too long. We started the vacation by driving to Milwaukee and staying at a hotel. Then at 5 am we hopped on a shuttle to the airport and went through security and we were ready to bored our plane! We flew into Phoenix where my dad and my uncle Marlow were waiting for us! We drove to Show Low and spent a week there. It was so much fun. I was so excited to take my kids to the 4th of July parade! I was excited to have them experience what I did as a kid! We had such a good time! We made some great memories! I can't wait to visit again, hopefully next summer we will all be able to go back! Here are some pictures of our trip :)

Ready to bored the plane! He was sleepy!

The kids having breakfast! Sophia was thrilled, Duke was so nervous!

All the cousins at the parade (except Reese and Cannen)

Aunt Clara giving Cannen a bath! He loved having her around :)

All Duke could talk about was grandpa's biscuit's and gravy, so here they are cooking them up!

Me and my cousins, Lena, Darby, and Chase

My friend, Kati, that I haven't seen for 17 years! It was so nice to a friend from so long ago!

Kati let the kids pick peas out of the garden (which they loved and talked about forever) and also let them look at the eggs!

Sophia and Ayla totally crashing on the hotdog!

Sophia and Ayla going on the hotdog, I was so proud of Sophia!

This is a special picture! In the background is a part of my grandma Thomas' house (this is the kitchen...it's what was left after they moved it off her property)
