18 months already!

Cannen is 18 months old already! I can't believe it. He is such a joy to have in our family! We love him so much :) Things he is doing: running, he can climb onto the kitchen chairs and onto the beds, he is learning parts of the body (eyes, nose, ear), he talks quite a bit, he loves food and is not a picky eater at all, he loves our dog to pieces!!

Things he says: mama, daddy, Dupe (for duke), sissy, bubba (what he calls Cameron), some, cereal (pronounced ceral), Papi (our dog), puppy, shoes, me, bye, hi, no no no, joe, bumpa (for grandpa), appy (for apple), owie, choo choo, ball, lello (for elmo), bootball (football), and shoop (shoot -- because the older boys are always playing basketball), sit, uh-oh, baby, santa, cheese, .....I think that's it!

Stats: Height - 32.5 inches, Weight 25 # 9 oz

He is so funny and makes us all laugh! He is sure to put a smile on anybody's face!!

January happenings!!

My niece turned five and she decided to have a Halloween party. It was so fun, we all dressed up and had a great time! The kids bobbed for apples. It was something different and fun for January :) Cannen absolutely loved the bobbing for apples part....he tried numerous times to get in the bucket!! Duke dressed up as a football player, and Sophia was a lala loopsy doll!

The whole gang!

All the girls who dressed up! A princess, lady gaga, Marilyn Monroe, Flo from Progressive, someone with a wig, Strawberry Shortcake, a Chinese lady, Jane Fonda!!

Joe turned 31 this year! He loves ice cream cake from Dairy Queen so I surprised him with that! I also got him a Charles Woodson canvas print to go in the basement...it was very exciting to watch him open it!

We made some great memories after Christmas! Grandpa Mark decided to get the four wheeler out and pull the kids!! They had so much fun. Mark's dad, grandpa Jimmy, use to drive the kids around on the four wheeler, so it was nice to keep the tradition going!!

Christmas 2011

Christmas was so fun this year! The kids were very excited, as were we to see them on Christmas morning :) Some of the things they wanted this year included: Cameron wanted dre beats (a new style of head phones), Duke wanted a phantom football helmet and new shoes, Sophia wanted the barbie camper, and Cannen would be happy with anything, although he is all about trains! Well, Christmas morning we woke up did Christmas at our house, then we headed up north to Iron River to spend the rest of the day with Joe's family. We had a great dinner at Grandma Sally's and then went to Joe's parents to end the night! It was such a fun day :) The day didn't end exactly as I would have hoped, but it could have been worse. Cannen took a tumble down grandma and grandpa's basement steps. It was the most scariest and helpless thing I have ever witnessed in all my life. They say kids are resilient and that proved to be true that night. He was very shaken up but overall he was fine. It was definitely something I don't think any of us will forget.

Duke and his helmet...he was pretty excited

Two very happy boys with their new phantom blankets made by Grandma Sally

Cannen wearing his new hat from Grandma Gayle and Grandpa Mark

Our princess...all sparkly and full of smiles

Grandma and Grandpa with the kids and the gift we made for them!

Cameron must have been a good boy...he got his headphones he wanted

Sophia was super excited when she opened up her barbie camper!

Duke and his reezig's!!! This definitely put a smile on his face!

Santa thought Cannen could use a train table! He LOVED it :)

The day was so busy and full of excitement I didn't get a picture of the kids all together! It was a very good day though!!!

Another State Championship

We LOVE our Phantoms!!! We were fortunate enough to be a part of another great season of football! We tried to make it to as many games as we could and had a great time at all of them! The Phantoms went undefeated again this year and made it to Camp Randall for the third strait time!! The first year they came up short. Last year they won their first State Championship. And this year they did it again! It was such a great game :) My father in law has come down every year and drives us all to the game! We leave bright and early and it has been so fun to be able to do this with him! He is a very special person to me and my kids!!!

Grandpa and Duke and Sophia

Cameron and his friends...hard to see him but it was the best picture I could get of him!

Cannen was such a trooper! He slept almost the whole game!

Duke and Jay Tollefson! One of Duke's favorite players this year :)
Jay was voted player of the state this year!

Duke's other favorite player, Jordan Forrest! He loves this guy! Jordan was so good with Duke!

Jordan pulled Duke right out of the stands after the game for a picture!!

Final Score 39 to 24!

After the game there was a celebration at the football field and here are a few things that I captured!

Joe and Sam Melberg! This player says Joe is the best coach he has every had :)

Last year we bought a football and had the team sign it! So we felt it would only be right to do it again this year! Here is Sam signing the ball for Duke!

Jay signing the ball for Duke!

Cameron and his buddies...Marcus and Tyler!

Growing up too fast

My baby is growing up too fast. We made 11/11/11 memorable by getting Cannen's first hair cut. It was needed, but it made for a sad day! It was like he grew up over night. He was only suppose to get a trim but he was moving so much so that trim turned into a full hair cut. All his curls were cut off. And anyone who knows me knows how much I love curls on baby's! It was hard to get used to his new hair cut, but I did and now I love how it looks!

This was his first bath without his bath seat! He loved it :)

So much actually that one day I gave him a bath and after he was dressed he went back in the bathroom and hopped in again...clothes and all!!

October Fun

October was such a fun month! We had extremely nice weather! I don't mind the nice weather but it was too nice....like a few days were in the 80's. I just like the fall temperatures that go with the beautiful changing colors! I know if a few weeks I will kick myself for even wishing that! We went to the pumpkin patch on a great day and the kids had so much fun picking their pumpkins! Too bad the weather couldn't have stuck around for trick or treating! It was so cold that night, but the kids still had a great time! Cannen ended up getting sick the next day so that was unfortunate. Cameron got sick shortly after but he didn't even go trick or treating so I am not sure if the cold was the cause of the sickness! I can't believe October is over and Thanksgiving is around the corner! Time sure goes too fast!

He didn't want his picture taken I guess!

Duke is obsessed with our high school football team! This year he decided to be the quarterback of our team, Jay Tollefsean!

Sophia as Dorothy!
